It took 6 minutes on the phone with Kindle Customer Service for them to verify my address, email, and tell me that a replacement was on its way and I had 30 days to return my broken Kindle. If you don't ship back within 30 days, they charge the credit card on your Amazon account. That's really impressive customer service, and I'm very satisfied after what I anticipated would mean me swallowing the loss.
