I was searching through lists of books and not abusing it. It looks as if it is in two parts and glued together in the manufacturing process and just came apart from slight stress of normal use. My kindle wasn’t covered under warranty because of physical damage. If you’re tech savy you can google for take apart guides and do it yourself.
