The navigation "stick" cracked in half , vertically, last night. I was searching through lists of books and not abusing it. It looks as if it is in two parts and glued together in the manufacturing process and just came apart from slight stress of normal use. Has anyone else had this problem or know anything about how this could happen. It is still usable but is in two pieces now.

I sent mine to a third party portable electronics company (http://www.portatronics.com) and they got it up and running. My kindle wasn’t covered under warranty because of physical damage. If you’re tech savy you can google for take apart guides and do it yourself.

I recommend calling Amazon support to get help for this. It will likely involve resetting the Kindle, but it's always best to get the right answer from the source!
