The kindle is bundled with a USB cable and an AC adapter. You can recharge over USB by connecting it to your computer or using the AC adapter.

The USB cable will look much like the cable you may have used to connect a digital camera to a computer. The AC adapter accepts the other end of the USB cable and allows you to plug the kindle into a wall outlet for recharging.

I hope you guys can help me.My husbands kindle needs recharging,and I have
no idea what a kindle recharger looks like.We have a bunch of rechargers in
a box.He is suffering from dementia,and can’t help me out.
I was hoping reading would help him. Thanks for your help

You don’t keep several usb / power adapters around? lol I have 3 of them, very handy for a great number of devices.

This gave me an idea. You can recharge the kindle using one of those energizer cell phone chargers. They cost 10 -15 dollars, just look for the samsung one with the right plug.
