The Kindle is simply amazing. I've been using one for some time now and I have nothing but good things to say about it. True, it does require some adjusting to, in terms of an "Artificial Book". I do recommend that you get used to it since this IS how books will be soon. Poor trees need a rest.

I would be very interested in chatting with others about "alternative" methods of reading.

I read for pleasure and for work (I teach at the college level) and while I absolutely love my Kindle, I also find that it requires me to read in a different way. The first and most obvious example is the inability to "flip through the pages."

I've also thought that certain types of books are fine for electronic reading, but others are just a bit useless for me. That's when I started to think about how I could "read" differently to get less books in that useless category.
