A New KindleChat.com is coming!
Hello everyone! Jared here, with a few quick announcements.
First, we’re really excited to blog about the Kindle. You’ll see posts mostly from myself and a good friend of mine, Bo. We’re both really big Kindle fans and we’ll continue to write about anything related to the Kindle (with maybe a few extra surprises along the way).
We’re also currently working on a new look and structure for the site. Implementing the new site is a good ways out, maybe a month or so. But, we’ll continue to post as often as we can in the meantime.
If you’re a Kindle enthusiast, please leave a comment and introduce yourself! If there’s something you’d like to see in the new site, include that too!

Just went to charge my Kindle 2- I previously owned Kindle 1. I took out the charger and the adapter port on my device wouldnt hold my adapter point . As you all know when anything goes wrong on this device it’s a lost if you don’t have insurance. I do not have insurance. I called Kindle customer support and told them my issue and they are replacing the unit and charger- free. It MUST be that this is an ongoing problem with the connection port. Watch out for the charge port- there must be some issue with it. Amazing that they’ll replace it for free. I am amazed and filled with relief. This Kindle is my toy and and I don’t like my toys broken. Three cheers to Kindle for their awesome customer service. Does anyone have any idea of what the problem might be??
Thanks
As a teacher, graduate student, and mother of a college student, I’d love to see textbooks available for the Kindle. The cost of textbooks at the high school level is outrageous for public school systems, and one text for a graduate class costs more than tuition for an entire semester did when I first started college. And then, there’s the problem of the mass of textbooks. I’ve had numerous high school students with back pain – one requiring surgery – that was aggravated (some think caused) by the extreme weight of their books. Any progress with text publishers on making books available for Kindle?
