When reading a book, scroll down on the touchscreen and you should see “Highlights/Notes.” Tap on that, then select the text you want and you can add notes to it. I haven’t had much hands-on experience with the Nook myself, so I don’t know whether their PC app gives you the ability to see all the notes you’ve made in one place.
